Saturday 10 September, 7:45pm until late, The Royal George Hotel
With stunning views over the famed River Tay, the Royal George Hotel has been welcoming guests in Perth since 1773, when our humble City was the ancient capital of Scotland. This evening they will host us for a delicious three-course meal with the opportunity to explore – and sample from – Perth Distillery (est. 2017) beforehand, which is nestled in the former arched stables beneath the hotel and used to provide shelter for Queen Victoria’s carriage horses when she was in residence.
Equipped with an acoustic guitar and a rich soulful voice, Ruth Martin has been writing and performing for over 20 years. Ruth’s eclectic songwriting style draws from a love of music across genres, often with a storytelling slant. Her musical career has seen her perform in venues as diverse as The Queens Hall and Iona Library, as well as at festivals such as Celtic Connections. She has supported performers such as Karen Matheson (Capercaillie), Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue) and James Grant (Love and Money.)
This event is suitable for over-18s only. Your ticket price does not include any drinks (excluding tea and coffee) which must be purchased seperately from the bar. Optional Perth Distillery tour at an additional charge.
