A life long and enthusiastic knitter, Amy launched her podcast The Meaningful Stitch in 2020 as a way of bringing together her love of story and her love of yarn.  Each episode is introduced by the drawing of a card from one of her many tarot and oracle decks, as a way of encouraging self reflection and deep thinking as a core component of our making practice.  She also launched her Patreon earlier that same year, and it is here where myth, memoir and making meet.

Amy lives in Edinburgh, Scotland in her new home overlooking the deep harbour of Newhaven.  She is rediscovering her joy of riding her bike along the many cycle paths of North Edinburgh and her love of gardening and plants.  Although she does still occasionally mistake her plants for weeds.  Her garden, like her life, like her making, is a work in progress.

Amy’s talk will focus on her love for the shawl designs of Stephen West and curating perfect colour palettes for show-stopping accessories.  All colour palettes in this talk will feature yarns from our 2022 Vendors’ Gallery Marketplace.
